If life was a movie the rain would have stopped when I finally let Gabriella back in, representing the cliché concept of a new beginning. The sun would come out, the zombies would all die and we would repopulate the earth with battle-ready mini-Cyruses.
I might have said this before, but life isn’t a movie.
The sky turned even darker when I helped her hobble back into the apartment, and heavy clothing-soaking rain practically poured from the heavens. It beat down on the roof so hard we could hear it, even through blowing wind and rumbling thunder. Indeed, life was no movie.
